Sharing Economy and the Next Generation of Mobility Systems

Abstract:

The future of transportation lies at the intersection of two emerging trends, namely, the sharing economy and the connected and automated vehicle technology. This talk will focus on two examples of how these technologies can enhance mobility in transportation systems. Specifically the talk will discuss peer-to-peer ridesharing systems, and wireless transfer of power between peer electric vehicles.
