Pierce Laboratory Seminar Series: Wall-modeled large-eddy simulation: an application to atmospheric boundary layer across a natural roughness transition.

Please join us for the Henry L. Pierce Laboratory Seminar Series with Assistant Professor George IIhwan Park from University of Pennsylvania. In this talk, Park will summarize the research on wall-modelled LES (WMLES) conducted by his group for engineering flows and test cases at moderate Reynolds number, and then discuss an application of WMLES to large-scale atmospheric flow over heterogeneous terrain featuring smooth-to-rough transition in the wall topology.  This seminar is in person in Building 3 Room 370.
