The CEE Graduate Application Assistance Program (GAAP) is a student-run mentoring program that aims to assist applicants from communities that have been historically underrepresented in higher education, including students from groups underrepresented in STEM and students with non-traditional academic backgrounds. Participants will be paired with graduate student mentors who can answer questions about MIT CEE and provide assistance in preparing strong applications for the various MIT Civil and Environmental Engineering PhD programs.
GAAP will accept requests until November 10 in order to provide assistance before the December 1 application deadline. We encourage applicants to connect with GAAP early, as we may not be able to guarantee a match late in the application season. To be eligible to participate in GAAP, you must be applying to CEE this year.

The CEE Application Assistance Program (GAAP) is completely separate from the CEE graduate admissions process. The views of the graduate student mentors are their own and do not represent the views of MIT or CEE. Participation in GAAP does not guarantee admission to CEE. Information you provide during your participation in GAAP will not be shared with the admissions committee or MIT.
