Charles “Hank” Spaulding ’51, a devoted alumnus and longtime member of the MIT Corporation, died Thursday, Nov. 24 at age 84. Spaulding worked for many years as a real estate developer and was co-founder of Spaulding & Sly Corporation. He helped establish MIT’s Center for Real Estate in 1984 and served as its first director. During CEE’s Millennium Colloquium in March 2000, Spaulding and Harl Aldrich Jr. ’47, Sc.D. ’51 co-chaired the committee that raised funds for the Donald ’50 and Martha Harleman Professorship.
