Professor Admir Masic holds fourth annual ONE-MA3 trip in Italy with 16 rising sophomores

On June 16 – July 10, 2019, Esther and Harold E. Edgerton Assistant Professor Admir Masic held the fourth annual ONE-MA3 trip in Italy with 16 rising sophomores. The three-week program took the students to various locations around the country studying art, architecture, and archaeology in order to learn from ancient civilizations and inspire ideas for modern engineering. Students visited sites such as Pompeii, Roman aqueducts in Tivoli, the Pantheon, the Vatican museums, and the Egyptian museum in Turin, just to name a few. The students are now taking the follow-up subject, 1.057: Heritage Science and Technology, where they are creating their own research projects inspired by their fieldwork. Read more on MIT News.
