The annual CEE Awards were presented during a ceremony held on Monday, May 12 at the Samberg Conference Center. Congratulations to all the students, postdocs, faculty, and staff honored for their exceptional achievements, dedication, and contributions to the department’s mission and values.

This year, the department proudly introduced a new honor, the Professor Jerome J. Connor Memorial Award for Best Thesis. This award commemorates Professor Emeritus Jerome J. Connor’s lasting contributions to the field of structural engineering and his more than two decades of guidance within the Master of Engineering (MEng) program’s structures track. The award will be presented annually to recognize the MEng student who produces the best thesis.

Starting in 2026, the department will introduce an additional recognition: the Professor Jerome J. Connor Memorial Award. This award will be presented annually to recognize an MEng student who best exemplifies Professor Connor’s qualities of leadership, exceptional dedication to the department, and commitment to community.
