Recent Course 1 graduate Shante Stowell ’15 has won a national contest sponsored by the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Year of Action on Diversity. The contest was for videos or essays on diversity; Stowell won first place with what the contest organizers described as “a unique audio piece that encourages thought and self-reflection.” Shante produced her piece with logistical support from the CEE-affiliated Terrascope freshman learning community, in which she first learned to create audio stories.
