On Oct. 10, the Society for Women in Marine Science will host a research symposium to showcase young female scientists’ work, and expose them to the research of faculty in the field of marine science. The event will feature a keynote by Dr. Amy Bower, a senior scientist in the Department of Physical Oceanography at WHOI, followed by speaker sessions, poster session, networking lunch, and panel session on the role of institutions in supporting women in marine science.
