Visiting Professor Van Damme Presents First Distinguished Speaker Series Lecture

CEE’s annual Distinguished Speaker Series (DSS) kicked off on Monday, March 9 with a presentation from Professor Henri Van Damme entitled, “From Sand Castles To Urban Modeling: A Physicist’s Naive Thoughts on Construction and Cities.” Addressing an audience of over 80 people, Van Damme discussed the global need for sustainable infrastructure, encouraging attendees to contemplate modern city organization and possible improvements.
