William Finney, an M.Eng. student in the Environmental and Water Quality Engineering track, blogged during his January fieldwork in Uganda. Finney, grad students Joyce Cheung and Joel Kaatz, and senior lecturer Richard Schuhmann are working with the Uganda Red Cross on the development of an early warning system for floods in the Manafwa River Basin in Eastern Uganda.
