Two Course 1 undergraduate students were named as the 2015 recipients of MIT awards during the MIT Awards Convocation. 1E student Phoebe Whitwell ’15 received the honor of the William L. Stewart, Jr. Award – an award to recognize outstanding contributions by an individual student or organization to extracurricular activities during the preceding year. Another 1E student, Majdolene Khweis, was one of two recipients of the Laya and Jerome B. Wiesner Student Art Award that acknowledges outstanding achievements in and contributions to the arts at MIT.
