Graduate students Mike Szulczewski and Birendra Jha received Outstanding Student Paper Awards for the work they presented at the fall meeting of the American Geophysical Union. Jha’s paper is titled “Numerical Simulation of Mixing in Viscous-Fingering Displacements.” Szulczewski’s is titled “Suppression of Mixing in Miscible Viscous Fingering in a Hele-Shaw Cell.” Both Jha and Szulczewski work with Professor Ruben Juanes.
