CEE’s Shasavari and partner win MIT $100K competition

CEE doctoral student Rouzbeh Shasavari and MIT Sloan School of Management M.B.A. candidate Natanel Barookhian won the MIT $100K Business Plan competition Wednesday evening, with their startup plan for C-Crete Technologies. The idea for C-Crete is built around discoveries made last year at MIT about the molecular structure of cement. New nano-engineered cement could greatly reduce the carbon dioxide emissions associated with the manufacturing of cement and be stronger as well. Read a news story.
