Melissa Garren wins best-talk award at symposium on aquatic microbial interactions

Melissa GarrenPostdoctoral associate Melissa Garren, who works in Professor Roman Stocker’s lab, won the award for best talk by a junior scientist at the symposium on “Microscale Interactions in Aquatic Microenvironments,” held at the School of Physics in Les Houches, France, March 10-15. The title of Garren’s talk was “A Coral Pathogen Uses Chemotaxis and Chemokinesis to Target the Mucus of its Host.” The journal Limnology and Oceanography: Fluids and Environments sponsors the award.
