Hundreds of MIT community members snapped photos on Sept. 24, 2009 as part of the A Day in the Life of MIT project. For its own gallery, TechnologyReview.com then selected one picture for each hour of the day, including a photo by James Long, administrative assistant in the Parsons Lab, whose photo “Morning commute: the #71 bus, Watertown to Harvard Square” ran in the 7 a.m. slot. An accomplished photographer with degrees from the Art Institute of Boston and Vermont College, Long always carries a small camera after what he called “way too many instances of wishing I had one.” Senior Naomi Stein’s photo of a Copenhagen street ran in the 10 a.m. slot. Other CEE students who submitted photos include sophomore Mike Chen, senior Aaron Thom and graduate student Tina Lai. To see Long’s and Stein’s photos, go to TechnologyReview.com.
