Recent graduate Choudhury wins dissertation prize

Charisma F. Choudhury Ph.D. ’07 was selected as a receipient of the 2010 Gordon Newell Memorial Prize for her doctoral work at MIT with Professor Moshe Ben-Akiva. The prize is awarded by the Hong Kong Society for Transportation Studies (HKSTS) for the best dissertation paper in the field of transportation completed within the last three years by a researcher of Asian origin. Choudhury is now an assistant professor in her home country at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. She will receive the prize at the HKSTS annual conference in Hong Kong in December. More information.
