On March 5, the MIT Water Club showcased over 40 water-related research projects from students to an audience of over 200 attendees in its annual Water Night. CEE student presenters included Phoebe Whitwell, Jia Wang, Kai Yu, Neha Mehta and Charlene Ren with topics that ranged from the distribution of groundwater arsenic in central China to water management in hydraulic fracturing. “The event showcased the wide breadth of solution approaches being pursed by MIT as whole, to tackle the water challenges being faced globally,” said Mehta, MIT Water Club co-president. In addition to the eclectic collection of student posters and demonstrations, the night featured a networking reception with water professionals and researchers as well as light refreshments.
