Buehler’s research recognized with three prestigious grants

Markus Buehler, the Esther and Harold E. Edgerton Assistant Professor in civil and environmental engineering, was recognized this year with three prestigious national research awards. He received an Office of Naval Research Young Investigator Award for his research proposal, Hierarchical Nanomechanics of Amyloid Protein Fibers; a grant through the Air Force’s Young Investigator Research program to investigate structural hierarchies in biomimetic materials; and the DARPA Young Faculty Award for University Microsystems Research.
