Last December, CEE junior Aaron Thom, co-president of Sustainability@MIT, and Katherine Dykes, vice president of the MIT Energy Club, represented MIT at a workshop convened by the University of Copenhagen and Yale University as a side event for the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. The objective of the workshop was to discuss how universities can minimize environmental damage and promote sustainable solutions. Thom and Dykes presented the results of a campus survey that inventoried MIT campus initiatives in energy and sustainability.
