MIT Water Summit discusses water management in a changing environment

From Nov. 13-14, an MIT Water Club team hosted their annual Water Summit, which resulted in a vibrant discussion of how realities like a changing climate, population growth, rapid development, and pervasive urbanization provide an unprecedented threat to the world’s food and water supply. The event was organized into three conversation panels – Interpret, Innovate, and Implement – and brought together more than 200 members of the MIT and non-MIT community. “Workshops such as this are critical to raise awareness and build momentum towards solving the grand water challenges of our world,” said Associate Department Head and Professor Elfatih Eltahir.
