The MIT Steel Bridge Team placed first overall and won the Structural Efficiency Award at the regional competition April 5 at Wentworth Institute of Technology. The team placed first or second in every category of the competition. The victory earns the team a spot to compete at Nationals, which will be held in Las Vegas May 22-23. The day before the Regional Competition, team member Emily Moberg won first place out of 20 participants in the paper competition. This year’s topic was sustainability and engineering ethics.
