Salvucci to receive Living Icons award for Central Artery Project

Fred Salvucci, senior lecturer and senior research associate in CEE and former Secretary of Transportation for the Commonwealth, will be honored by the Boston Preservation Alliance (BPA) at a gala May 13. Salvucci and former Governor Michael Dukakis will be presented the BPA’s first Living Icons award for “their vision in conceiving Boston’s Central Artery Project and fortitude in making it a reality.” The BPA is a nonprofit organization interested in protecting Boston’s architectural heritage.
