On September 21, join us from 6-7:30 pm for a pizza dinner and viewing of the Boston Athenaeum’s panel “Boston: Sink or Swim,” featuring MIT faculty discussing the impacts of climate change in the Boston area. The panel, with CEE Department Head Markus Buehler as one of the speakers, and CEE Professor and Chancellor Cindy Barnhart as moderator, will explore how cities like Boston and its coastline are affected by climate change, how proactive planning and innovative engineering can mitigate the effects, and ways society can protect infrastructure.
